There’s nothing quite like heading into the new year with grandiose plans to get moving and eat healthier, until you’re sacked with a cold like a quarterback who didn’t make it out of the pocket. I can’t be the only person this happens to, can I?
It always seems to happen at the worst of times too, right? Like this weekend is supposed to be a big one where my teenage son and I planned to attend a rally, and here I sit feeling like I’m definitely coming down with something, which is kind of why I’m writing this.
Plans for a healthier 2017
I spent a lot of 2016 really sick so I’ve been focusing on eating much cleaner and eliminating things like sugar that I know adversely affect my health, but I really wanted to start doing yoga again on the first of January. It’s just a start date, right? But on the 30th I had 4 abnormal spots removed and two of them are on my hips. One on my left hip, the other on my right hip, and unfortunately they were so bad, they had to be punched out and sewed up and I’m not allowed to do yoga until next week. And now as I see the light at the end of the hallway, I’m freaking sick.
I really don’t have time for this
I don’t know about you, but I’m always so good at taking care of my family when they’re ill, but when it comes to myself, I forget all the good remedies and just keep trudging along waiting and waiting and waiting to feel better. Apple Cider Vinegar & Honey Tea Cold Remedy
Ingredients
- 8oz boiling water
- 3 tablespoons Apple Cider Vinegar (With the Mother)
- Honey (to taste - 1-2 Tablespoons is usually sufficient)
Directions
