Christmas? We’re talking about Christmas already? I know, I can’t believe it either. Unlike most of the grandmothers in our family, I haven’t even started Christmas shopping yet, and don’t know when I plan to for that matter. I feel like we JUST moved here. What do you mean it’s not summer anymore?
The past year has just been a whirlwind of insanity and I’m ready to slow down just a tad. I love Christmas, but I don’t love that it snuck up on me so quickly this year. I’m hoping for things to slow down around here just a touch so that we can enjoy Christmas in our new home. It’s going to be a solitary Christmas this year as our respective families spend Christmas in their own homes. Kyle has to work, so that leaves just the kids and me at home to hang out and enjoy the special times that Christmas brings.
Best Buy is one of my favorite places to do my Christmas shopping, and this year I’m leaning heavily on Best Buy to provide the best electronic gifts for the entire family. Styles needs a new laptop, the babies need (or maybe this is my need?) DVD players for the car, and Kyle is ready for a soundbar and a larger TV, like the LG OLED TV, for our bedroom.
Yes, I said TV in our bedroom. I’ve been vehemently opposed to a TV in the bedroom since we got married, but when we moved here, I finally gave in. I just don’t feel like a TV belongs in the bedroom because it is supposed to be an intimate, sacred area, but I typically go to bed when Kyle gets home and all he wants to do is watch TV. It’s like being a single woman when you have to go to bed alone all the time, so I told him that he could have a TV in the bedroom as long as he came to bed when I did so that I could cuddle him while he watches his shows. He agreed, but the wall opposite our bed is really far from our bed and the little TV we have there is difficult to see.
I’m a bit of a snob when it comes to brands, and LG has been one of my favored brands since I owned one of their cell phones years and years ago. I was so excited to find out about the fact that Best Buy is now carrying the LG OLED TV. Their every day price is $3499.99 which means you save $500 on the TV, which is a pretty darn good savings. Do you know what I could do with $500? I could make it rain up in here, y’all!
