Looking good depends on how you arrange your outfit. Some folks don’t pay attention to their appearance, but if you want to look your best, you’ll have to consider this. That is what the following guide will help with.

Avoid Visible Mistakes

The first thing you want to do is make sure you don’t make visible mistakes even if you don’t think anyone will notice. An easy one to remember is mismatched socks because you never know when your pants will rise more than usual, exposing your little mistake. There are other smaller mistakes that other people make, like not having the right bras for the right outfits or not having the right underwear. You don’t want your underwear to show because that can be a little embarrassing.

Matching Isn’t Matching

Another thing to keep in mind is matching. Some people think that you can only use one pattern or color when creating an outfit, but that is not the case. You can create an outfit with contrasting colors or colors from the same color group that aren’t the same shade. If you do this, you’ll be open to more outfit options. Try it out, and you’ll see the possibilities for new outfits you have in your closet.

Re-Invent by Layering

One big problem that people have when creating outfits is they don’t think they have a lot of options to choose from. The reality is you have a lot more than you might imagine if you begin to layer things. For example, that little small skirt you have that you normally wear in warm weather can still be worn today if you put on some warm alpaca or wool leggings. All of a sudden you’ve figured out a new way to wear your skirt. A dress can be re-invented the same way if you wear a stylish turtleneck under it.

Notches of You

It’s important that every outfit feels like you. Your personality has to shine. Each person has something that makes them unique, and it would be a shame if you don’t allow that to shine through when you create your outfit. Now, there are a number of ways you can show off your personality like you could wear unique socks if you want to be a little discreet, or you can find sunglasses that feel like you. Some people choose to make their belt, purse, or jewelry their personality statement.

Simplicity Does Work

You need to remember that simplicity is your friend. Your personality is going to shine brighter with simple changes, so focus on doing that when you put on your outfit. Your blouse and pants shouldn’t be too busy unless you aren’t thinking of adding any more layers. If you are going to be wearing pants, a shirt, or a blouse that’s busy, then make sure it’s only one item. If your main outfit is simple, then you can be a little more creative with your accessories, like you can wear a playful scarf or tie. You can choose to wear shoes that show off your personality a little more. Think of your first layer of clothes as your background that’s there to make those specialty choices really pop.

These are just some things you can do to try to create great outfits for the week. Of course, you can always talk to a fashion expert or a stylist to help guide you.
