Holy HECK, YOU GUYS!!!! Do you know what this week is? If you don’t know what this week is, you CLEARLY are not following me on Twitter, Instagram, OR Facebook, because if you were, you’d know that this is the week that leads into the most exciting trip of, perhaps my life. That’s right, ladies and vultures, I’m headed to Los Angeles on April 3-5, to interview some of the cast and crew of Disney’s The Jungle Book AND walk the red carpet at the premiere of the movie on April 4. You read that right, I get to dress up and pretend I’m a star while walking the red carpet at the premiere of the live action version of my favorite Disney movie EVER. OK, it’s not THE red carpet, it’s the one behind the red carpet, but it’s red. And if I follow it, it will lead me into the theater where I will get to preview (before YOU do), Disney’s latest animated movie redo, directed by THE Jon Favreau.

To make things even more exciting for those of you who know the illustrious Mr. Favreau, I, along with 24 other bloggers, will be interviewing him along with Neel Sethi who plays Mowgli, Lupita Nyong’o who brings Raksha the wolf to life, Giancarlo Esposito who voices Akela, and Sir Ben Kingsley who will portray the protective Bagheera. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, please run thineself to your favorite online store and buy the original movie. I’ll wait, but the movie opening on April 15, will not, so hurry!

If you’re kind of used to living under a rock, I want to be the first to ruin the surprise that Kaa has a new breath of life now that he is a she, and voiced by the sultry Scarlett Johansson. I am literally phobic of snakes. So much so that I can’t even look at a picture of one lest I go into cardiac arrest, so I’m taking bets on whether or not I’ll scream in the theater. I’m not sure I’m prepared to be “the girl who screamed when the sultry snake came on screen”, and so far I’ve been OK during the trailers, but we shall see. Definitely tune into Twitter on April 4 to find out whether or not my friend Amy has a similar theater experience with me in L.A. as she did in NYC.

The Jungle Book opens in theatres everywhere in 3D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D on April 15th, and if you haven’t seen the trailer yet, take a minute to check it out below. This is the first time I’ve been over the moon excited to see a live-action redo of a Disney animated film. The casting in this film is impeccable and I can’t wait to find out what Jon Favreau did with my favorite Disney flick.

HOLY COW, you guys! I just realized that I will be on the west coast (which is still arguably the best coast) with three of my favorites – three of the women I was in NYC with last summer. So from NYC to LA and back to our respective homes – all on the East coast, I just can’t wait. This trip is, as Grady would say – going to be eFic!
Please follow me on Twitter, follow the hashtag – #JungleBookEvent, set your notifications to ON and interact DURING the interviews of the cast and crew, on the red carpet, and after I screen the movie. You can also follow the hashtag #WalkThePrank on April 5 to hear all about a brand new staged prank show on Disney XD called *drumRoll* Walk the Prank. It premiers on April 6 at 8:30 pm on Disney XD, and I’ll be watching. As the queen pranker in our family, I can’t WAIT to see, feel, and experience this show AND talk to the cast members. Maybe I’ll even get some good ideas for pranking my own family. Watch out, Davises!
