Come join me in learning how I keep my bottoms clean – pot & pan bottoms that is – with the power of Zep All Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser on behalf of #ZepSocialStars & Social Stars.
So remember when I told you we were buying a new house ? Well, the deal ended up going belly up about the same time I published that blog post, and we’re stuck in our rental home for another year or two.
I shouldn’t say stuck, really. That’s not true, we aren’t stuck here. Except, of course, on Saturdays when we can’t leave the house and expect to get home before 1pm; and can’t leave and expect to go anywhere after 3pm. Tourists. Psh. Otherwise, we’re really not stuck here. After things went sour with the builder/lender (same company), we decided to squirrel away a great sum of the money we had saved, and begin adding to that money for the next year or two in order to save enough to put 20% down on a house that we really want, rather than put 3.5% down on a house we kind of want.
So when I resolved to save money for a house, I knew I would have to spend a little to get comfortable in this tiny house we’ve called home for the past year. I got some organizational materials and a new washing machine from Home Depot when I was there replenishing my Zep All Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser . Before you ask, yes, the new washing machine was necessary. The one here was falling apart and there was a clause in the lease that basically said, “If this washing machine breaks, you’re mess out of luck. Sorry, suckers.”
Last laugh’s on me, because I got the brand new Samsung ActiveWash washing machine with the built-in utility sink. Happy housewife.
Now that I’ve dropped some dough on new organization and traded moldy-smelling clothes for fresh ones, I’m happy, and I really think I can stay in this house for another couple years. Then the handle fell off of my favorite pot and I couldn’t get it back on. Instead of buying one more pot, I thought it was wise to buy a whole set of pots and pans. Right? Tell me I’m wrong.
Yeah, that’s what I thought.
I picked out some pretty blue ones that can go in the oven. When they arrived, I gingerly washed them, cuddled them, and kissed them on their smooth bottoms.
After one use, I noticed the pan was looking a little brown on the bottom. The HECK?! This is a brand new, clean pan we’re talking about here! Then the realization hit me that my stove must be greasy, so I busted out my Zep All Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser, and hit it with a little one-two punch.
I flipping love my Zep products because they’re not overly scented, they get the toughest jobs done, and they cut my scrub time in half. They also make it possible to know the bottoms of my ceramic pots and pans will stay blue and not turn burned-brown like my mom’s pots from the 80s. The Zep All Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser is so gentle it can be used on granite and upholstery. I’ve used it to scrub face paint off of our blue (do we sense a theme here) sofa more than once, and, uh, well you see the picture up there? That’s what happens when your four year old has an obsession with face paint and your dog thinks she’s a human. TGIA – Thank Goodness I’m Armed (with Zep).
Before I forget! We also use Zep All Around Oxy Cleaner & Degreaser on Grady’s mattress when he doesn’t quite make it through the night. This stuff is good for just about everything, there’s really not much it can’t do, except the laundry. I haven’t gotten it to fold the laundry yet. Zep, do you hear me? I need a cleaner that also folds my laundry and puts it away, so please start working on that. Kaythanks.
