Back in July when I had the opportunity to go to the D23 Expo in Anaheim, California, I got to see a clip from the film which I still won’t talk about (sorry for you), but the new teaser trailer of Disney*Pixar’s Incredibles 2 shows the very end of the clip that we were able to watch and it had me cracking up way too hard.
Partly because I know what I know and partly because this film is going to be incredible. Yeah, yeah, pun intended.
The Incredibles is an oft-watched movie in the Davis household and we are super pumped to get to know Jack Jack a little more, and see how things change when Helen becomes the breadwinner and Bob stays home to play Mr. Dad.
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
I didn’t realize until the expo that the audience are the only people who know that Jack Jack has powers. I’m super pumped to see how Jack Jack learns to harness them, he might well be the most incredible of the Incredibles.
