Yo. Disney’s hooking me up with a trip to Cali to cover the #Incredibles2Event
So I won an Iris Award, what am I gonna do next?!
Uh, I’m going to DISNEYLAND!
But I’m also going to get to interview the infamous cast of Incredibles 2, including Samuel L. “Go the F**K to Sleep” Jackson!
And of course Craig T. Nelson (Bob Parr/Mr. Incredible), whom I’ve been in love with since “Coach” which I used to watch with my grandparents. He’ll be paired up with Holly Hunter (Mrs. Parr/Elastigirl). I can’t wait to show her that they modeled Elastigirl after me – you know, small waist, big butt, ridiculous flexibility.
We will also be interviewing Sophia Bush (Voyd) whose philanthropic work inspires me, Sarah Vowell (Violet Parr) & Huck Millner (Dash Parr), and Bob Odenkirk (Winston Dever) & Catherine Keener (Evelyn Dever)
We don’t get to interview director, Brad Bird (Edna Mode) but I had the opportunity to interview him at Pixar Studios, and that interview goes live on Monday!
I’m also really excited to see Domee Shi and Becky Neiman again who are the director and producer for the short film, “Bao”. I met them in San Fransisco during the Pixar event I went to. “Bao” is my favorite short EVER. Not just because the animation is so sweet, but because the story is so relevant to my life right now as a mom to a teenage son. Domee’s story brought me to tears and I can’t wait to hold Styles’ hand when we watch it together for the first time.

A New Disney Channel Animated Comedy Series!
Follow along using #BigCityGreens #Incredibles2Event
Our family is still head over beaks for Duck Tales, but Disney Channel is releasing a new comedy series called “Big City Greens” that we will get to screen.
“Big City Greens” follows the offbeat adventures of 10-year-old Cricket Green, a mischievous and optimistic country boy who moves to the big city with his wildly out of place family – older sister Tilly, dad Bill and Gramma Alice. Cricket’s curiosity and enthusiasm leads his family on epic journeys and into the hearts of his new neighbors.
Does it kinda sound like the Beverly Hillbillies but in cartoon form to you? It does to me.
We will have the opportunity to have a Q&A with the creators, brothers Chris and Shane Houghton (“Harvey Beaks”), who also serve as executive producers alongside Emmy Award-winning Rob Renzetti from “Gravity Falls”.
The most EXITING THING
…will be hanging out with friends at Disneyland checking out all of the fun things to do during PixarFest at Disneyland. I fully intend on going on a Churro spree, and I might find time to taste test The Carl which is a fried bologna sandwich. I’d also really like to eat the yellow snow.
If you don’t understand that reference, you need to go watch Monsters, Inc. and don’t talk to me again until you do.
