I participated in a campaign on behalf of Mom Central Consulting for Zarbee’s Naturals. I received product samples and a promotional item as a thank you for participating
A couple of months ago, Stinky got a nasty cold that was accompanied by a hacking, horrible cough. I went to the store and was shocked that there were few options to help ease his cough and mucus. I noticed two natural brands on the bottom shelf and in a desperate moment, I grabbed for one of them, hoping beyond hope that my 2 year old could take one because the eucalyptus rub on the bottom of his feet just wasn’t cutting it.
Sure enough, Zarbee’s Naturals was fine for my baby boy to take. I grabbed the Children’s Cough Syrup Nighttime formula and headed to check out. When I got back to the hotel we were staying in, I noticed that the main ingredient was a propriertary blend of dark honeys with some zinc and Vitamin C thrown in there too.
I am an enormous supporter of natural medicine, I really am. I believe in elderberry and apple cider vinegar tea and using herbs and oils from our Earth for healing. But honey?
Please don’t get me wrong when I tell you that my first thought was that I had wasted my money. My second thought was, “great, I’m still not going to get any sleep tonight.”
Well let me tell you how entirely WRONG I was. Not only did Stinky sleep all night long, he didn’t wake me up coughing ONCE. I was shocked and thought it was a fluke, but this stuff kept working. Time after time after time. Then when my mom came to visit over Christmas, the nasty cough returned. It was Zarbee’s Children’s Cough Syrup + Mucus to the rescue. My mom was not much of a natural remedies believer until the day I showed her our medicine and she saw first hand how well it worked. Now SHE’S sold too.
This is medicine that I feel good giving to my kids. The biggest bonus is that it is effective.
Zarbee’s Naturals Cough Syrups
Zarbee’s was founded by Dr. Zak Zarbock who is a pediatrician and father of four little boys. He was frustrated with being unable to find ways to give his sick boys relief. He discovered a clinical trial showing that dark honey is more effective at calming coughs and sore throats in children than Dextromethorphan (a common OTC treatment for coughs that is potentially harmful to children under 6. Dr. Zarbock developed this blend of dark honeys with immune-boosting Vitamin C and Zinc. It can be used on children as young as two months old. Visit this link for the complete list of Zarbee’s Naturals products.
From one parent to another, I completely sympathized with Dr. Zak’s desire to safely treat his children, and I feel SO grateful for his go-get-it attitude and for developing this formula. Stinky loves it. He calls it his night night medicine and I have to fight him away from it some nights. You know, when he’s well and all that.
To find out more about Zarbee’s I’ve included this Zarbee’s Fact Sheet for you to refer to. Print it out and keep it on hand for when your kids get sick! OH, and before I forget, Here’s a coupon for you to use:
