Achieve Your Goals This Year With a Pocket Speaker!

I have lofty goals for 2014 so as part of a sponsored post with Collective Bias, I’m looking into fresh new ways to keep myself motivated with music this year. This is the one where I teach you how to use a pocket speaker in your every day life to become a more productive you.

Have you ever been to a wedding where there was no music? Or how about a wedding where the music just was just like straight up 1970s disco? OH you like that kind of thing? Yeah, didn’t think so. Unless John Travolta a la “Saturday Night Fever” is there teaching me to dance, I want a little Big Band era music, some gangsta rap, at least one round of “Baby Got Back”, some Journey, and maybe a country line dance or 5 – 360 sound. THAT is a fun wedding, y’all.

So while my annual cookie party isn’t necessarily a wedding, it is a celebration of the love of sugar, and for the love of all things decadent, you need to have some music at your cookie party, or any other fete you decide to throw this year. Look, your friends love you but a party with no music is like a dance party with no music. There’s something about music playing in the background of a gathering that just promotes good conversation, an easy atmosphere, and activity!

Adding good atmosphere to a party isn’t all music can do to enhance your life. Let me show you how you can bring the boom boom to the room without pimping out your living area, and how investing in a pocket speaker by Carbon Audio can help you achieve your goals this year.

1. Move more! Increase your steps!

I find that when music is playing, I am much more restless. My legs start twitching and I can’t help but get up out my seat and MOVE. Sometimes I have a personal dance party, sometimes I just fidget wildly while folding laundry. Sometimes, if my mood is right, I just start lunging across the kitchen, or doing squats. Whatever it is, the more you move, the more calories you burn, and the more you can get done. Putting music promotes movement. Putting the TV on promotes stagnancy. Turn the TV off, turn your Pocket Speaker on, and get active! It’s these simple changes that will change your life. So what are you going to do the next time you reach for the remote? You’re going to reach for your phone instead, connect it to your new Pocket Speaker, and you’re going to get moving with this very portable little device. You can even use it at your in-laws house during their annual Mexican Train Dominoes fest instead of yawning away on the sofa.

2. Whistle While You Work!

The computer and the Television both do the same thing to me. They suck me in and don’t let go. For me, it’s like looking at the Medusa and turning into stone for the rest of the day or night. Luckily, I’ve never been much of a television girl. Unfortunately, the computer and I have a very unhealthy relationship. On the other hand, music conquers all. The nights I tuck the kids into bed and turn music on to tackle my chores, I find myself cleaning the entire house. Sometimes I’m like, “I’ll just finish this song and turn the computer on.” Then another song that makes me want to get drrrrty comes on and I keep cleaning. My poison is 90s hip-hop and pretty much anything by Robin Thicke and Pitbull. I get all stank face and pop my booty while I’m doing the dishes or sweeping the floor. I’m sure my neighbors have all had quite the eyeful. I’ll record it on video next time it happens so you can all watch.

But seriously, hook a pocket speaker (or two, since you can pair two speakers to one device) up and get to twerk, gurrrl. Your house will be clean in no time, you will have burned some calories, and you’ll have a happy spouse on your hands. It really is that easy.

3. Be Social!

I’ve spent way too many years of my life being a wallflower. If you’ve known me since high school, you probably don’t believe me. If you met me in the past 5 years, you might. I used to love to entertain but it became such a burden to me in the past few years. If I look back on the boring parties, there was no music! DUH! That’s like Entertaining 101!

MUSIC!

GOOD music!

CLEAR music!

Now that I have a Pocket Speaker by Carbon Audio, I have a phenomenal, extra small vehicle for extra loud, crystal clear sound. I can even listen to my favorite podcasts. Don’t throw another boring party! Please! Get out of your shell this year and start entertaining! The presence of friends and family in your life will help put you in a happier place.

You provide the music, make them bring the snacks.

So seriously, run to your nearest Apple store (because that’s the only place you can buy one), find the speaker section, and pull this little gem off of the shelf. Of all the choices of pocket speakers, this one is the most portable, most affordable, and has the best sound. Don’t get ripped off paying more for a different speaker.

These are great tips! I always forget to put on music when I’m cleaning. It definitely takes the drudgery out of housework. #client

Just ask my hubby. Housework doesn’t get done if there is no music kickin’.

So, you’re telling me that I could keep my house clean if I had one of these? Okay, sold!
