Yesterday was sprints, today is INCREASE DAILY MOVEMENT!
Remember as we travel along in the next 2 weeks, that the ideas in each day should begin to expand throughout your entire lifestyle. Don’t just increase your movement today because I’m telling you to. Increase your movement every day because you SHOULD. Because your body would benefit from it. Because it makes you feel better. Eat intuitively because it is GOOD for you and will enrich your life. Work those muscles because it’s GOOD for you and will make you stronger and burn fat faster and easier.
Specifically today, focus on the following:
Diet: Today, track your macronutrient intake. It is important to get adequate protein to supply your muscles. Also, keep your carbohydrate intake in line with your body composition goals. If you want to lose weight, keep it between 50 and 100 grams of carbs. Use an online calculator like Fitness Pal . It will enter the macronutrient profile of everything you ingest. This is not something that you have to do on a daily basis but do it every once in a while to see what you’re eating and where you can change things. Today is your day.
Exercise: Increase your daily movement. Go for a walk, use a stand up work station, and take a short movement break every 30 minutes. Just find an easy, effortless way to add some movement into your life. Today and always.
Lifestyle: Media fast! Wait, WHAT??!?!? No, I’m not kidding. Get your internet fix in 10-minute time blocks this afternoon and tonight and then you’re done for the day. During your 10 minute sessions, choose your favorite media resources and only read the articles that REALLY pique your interest. This should aid in your ability to add movement into your day.

I know the digital part will be difficult for me. This is what I DO! But after I write this and share it with all of you, I am going to head out to the beach with my family for some walking and play time. I will get online tonight for TEN MINUTES (believe me, The Workaholic will hold me to it), and that will be it until tomorrow.
I wonder what I’ll do?
Maybe I’ll clean the house. Dust? Mop? OMG…I have a cross stitch project that needs to be finished. I could do that. Or I could crochet? Or I could play Kinect with my eldest. Whatever I do, it won’t be on the internet.
