It shouldn’t surprise a single person reading this that I’m not the type of parent who ever rode around town listening to eight-bar kid songs in her mini van. I’m rather the kind of parent who preferred to ride around town in her Mitsubishi Outlander blasting 90s rap tunes or the latest booty-shaking Zumba song cut in with 80s tracks. I find no shame in the fact that my kids know every word to Wiggle by Jason Derulo or that my 14 year old knows about NWA, and I am certainly not going to apologize that the absence of tinny-voiced children singing about the wheels on the bus going round & round has kept me from committing vehicular homicide.
Sorry for the truth, that’s just what we do here. This is real talk.
So you like listening to pre-pubescent kids singing the latest tunes? Good for you, and seriously, bless your heart. I just can’t. I do; however, love listening to the latest Disney movie soundtracks, and I can get with Veggie Tales, it’s just, I have my limits. And mommy also can’t drive without listening to good music. As a result, my kids know each word to every Dave Matthews Band song ever produced and they also have a little street cred with their rap knowledge. There’s seriously nothing cuter than seeing your curly-headed, blonde, 4 year old spit some Dre, amiright?
I might be a little embarrassed that I bought the dirty version of a few of these songs, which brings me to my enormous gratitude for Rhapsody KIDS .
Rhapsody is the first music subscription service to offer a fun, safe, and easy music experience just for kids. Rhapsody KIDS lets you play the newest and most popular kids music available, including hand-picked playlists that are already parent-approved. As a parent, it’s good knowing my kids are listening to music that isn’t questionable, and I can add my own music whenever I want, so we’re all happy. Each kid’s favorite tunes are automatically downloaded for easy listening on the go and can even be accessed offline. Kids can play their favorites in an easy and colorful interface designed especially for young children.
I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, and I know I’ve been caught purchasing songs my kids really shouldn’t here, so I love that Rhapsody KIDS only has music that’s kid-safe , but includes the hot songs of today that I want to listen to also.
From Friday, October 9 – Friday, October 30, you can take advantage of 3 months of Rhapsody KIDS for $1 . After your first three months, the price is $9.99 per month, which is cheaper than buying one CD each month, and you get unlimited access – worth every penny if you ask me.
And, because I really love you and appreciate you taking to the time to read about my music preferences and the fact that my kids think I know what to do with my big, fat butt; I want you to win $300 to Target, so enter below. You’re welcome.

I am always so surprised when I hear little kids singing Top 40 songs – I cringe a little inside. LOL
