I realize that there are thousands upon thousands of ice pop recipes out there, and even a few books on making ice pops. Truth be told, I’ve never seen an ice pop recipe, because I never had much of an interest in making them for my kids when I could get Fudge Pops for $4 a box at the grocery store.
As I’ve morphed into a person who believes that making treats for her children with few, limited, quality ingredients, is an important life endeavour. I’ve realized that making popsicles is fun, limitless, and gives me the opportunity to make gluten free cookies & cream ice pops for my little Grady who has Celiac Disease . I’ve realized that if I make fun push pops for them, they don’t beg for dessert from the overly expensive ice cream shops in our tourist-laden town.
That’s how the summer of ice pops was born
This summer, I will be creating and posting one ice pop, and one push pop recipe each week. You will be able to expect new recipes on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This week’s ice pop recipe will be a gluten free cookies & cream ice pop, and the push pop will be a strawberry shortcake push pop.
I would love for you to weigh in on what delicious flavors you would like for me to create for you this summer! Fill the form below out for me so I can start filling my calendar with all sorts of delicious ice pop and push pops chosen by YOU! Then come back each week to see what kinds of delicious things we’ve collectively come up with!
