What’s more important than a good sports bra? A great water bottle!
While I was traveling in Florida during May, I got a Tervis Tumbler as part of a really great swag bag. My parents had Tervis Tumblers when I was growing up, but we weren’t allowed to so much as lay a finger on them. They were the prized poolside cups.
I’ve since wanted one, but I drink a TON of water, and needed something a little larger than their standard size tumbler. After perusing their site, I found out that they don’t just have the standard Tervis Tumbler anymore – they have a range of sizes including one phenomenal water bottle, and a really cool jeweled tumbler and you can add a handle to make it a sexy on-the-go hot or cold beverage container, among other things.
Tervis sent me two of their products – one to try and one to give away. I had recently misplaced my good ole’ standby water bottle – a Camelbak. I love my Camelback because of its size and the fact that it has a straw, but I don’t love that it sweats all over the place and that it sometimes leaks all over my car, even when it’s “closed”. I also don’t like having to bite down on the straw to get water out. I mean, is that really actually good for your teeth? So because I have so many coffee mugs, and needed a new water bottle, I chose to keep the water bottle. Bad for you, great for me.
The good news is, in my 5000 Facebook fan giveaway, I’m giving away the Jeweled tumbler with handle and lid from Tervis. It’s another really great cup and is great for hot or cold beverages.
But today, I’m telling you about the phenomenal water bottle. I love this thing. It is 24 ounces and double wall insulated so that the cup doesn’t sweat, even when you fill it with glacial runoff. It is BPA free and dishwasher safe and crazy sturdy. I’ve already dropped it on the concrete several times and you can’t even tell.
The first time I used it, I thought for sure the lid would smack me in the face when I tilted the water bottle back, but it doesn’t – it stays right in place with no face-smacking surprises. It is easy to hold and despite the fact that there is no straw, I don’t dump water all over my face like I used to with an old strawless water bottle of mine.
I love ice cold water when I’m working out, and the Tervis certainly delivers. I even left it in the car one hot and steamy day, and there was still ice in it, three hours later. I couldn’t believe it. Speaking of car, it’s not so huge that it doesn’t fit in my cup holders. There have been a few times where I’ve lazily thrown it into the bottom of the stroller, and when I tell you not a drop of H2O got out, I mean seriously – not a single drop of H2O got out.
Tervis is MADE IN THE USA and has a Lifetime Guarantee against defects.
I don’t know about you, but they had me at “Made in the USA” and “Doesn’t sweat”.
